Maintenance
After purchasing the boat in 2009, we took the following measures:
- Replaced all ropes on the boat with factory-new ones.
- Completely remade the interior paneling with imitation leather.
- Completely renovated the interior isolation.
- Replaced all lamps inside.
Ever since then, we have been taking very good care of it, inside and out. Here are some of the things we have done to keep the Cycloon in mint condition:
- Took it out of the water every winter to its hibernation spot on land in Oostwatering.
- Gave it new coats of underwater anti-fouling paint and replaced the zinc anodes (last time in April of 2022).
- Regularly treated it with burnish and rubbed it shiny.
- Regularly took home the teak banks from the cockpit to treat them.
Interior
Most of the boat’s interior is taken up by a large bench and table that can be combined to a bed. There is a second, smaller bed in the bow that can fit two additional people. A bench and navigation table can be found by the entrance. The kitchen to the other side is compact, but includes everything you need including a stove. A door next to it leads into a small bathroom featuring a toilet and a sink.
